About

Andrew is a director who blends cinematic vision with natural performances and a strong emphasis on music, sound, choreography, and rhythm. He has directed three feature films: Accidents Happen (2009), starring Geena Davis; The Lost Aviator (2014); and Joud (2019), with a live score by London Contemporary Orchestra. His films have won prestigious festival awards worldwide, including Tribeca Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, and more.

As a graduate of AFTRS, he has also directed and composed award-winning short films and music videos. He co-founded the music studio Sonar and has been working in music and film for over twenty-five years. He has won two ARIA awards for Best Australian Music Video, an AACTA award for Best Original Music for The Hunter in 2012, and Best Rising Talent at the IF Awards in 2002. He also made a micro-documentary on ‘The Town of Speed’ that won multiple awards including Gold at ADMA, Spikes Asia Awards, CLIOs Silver x2 ,and New York Festival Awards Gold.
